While at Wizard World Chicago James made an astounding discovery, a company called Go Hero. I was drawn to the table by the beautiful 1/6th scale figures of Sinbad, Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. These very poseable figures came complete with authentic retro styled outfits and nifty accessories that made me drool just to look at them. (see the photos in the Wizard World pics for Saturday).

Antidote Comics is an independent comic book business founded in 2007 based in Des Moines, Iowa. Antidote comics LLC was founded by four Des Moines men. Anthony Lucia and Chris Pruisner planned to launch their own self published title, Bloods Own. Writer Jonah Hardenbrook was brought on board to script the series and assist with plotting. As the work slowly progressed a fourth member, Curt Peterson, was added as an artist and colorist.

Todd Gnacinski began writing Satellite State back in 2005. Issue 1 made its debut at Wizard World Chicago in 2006. The comic is about a an alternate timeline of world history from the late 1930’s to the modern age.
