The newest weapon in the N-Strike arsenal is the most unique Nerf gun to hit the market. The N-Strike Deploy CS-6 is a collapsible blaster that is concealed in a harmless looking flashlight.
When I saw the first photos of the Deploy I knew that I would pick one up as soon as they hit the shelves. My first thoughts were that this blaster looked like something out of Ghost in the Shell or some other futuristic anime. Perfect for any covert mission the Deploy CS-6 does double duty lighting the way and taking out the opposition. The push of a button is all it takes to unleash hell.
The N-Strike Deploy measures approximately 16.5 inches long folded and approximately 21 inches when opened and ready for action. This blaster holds six slim line darts in its removable clip and it packs a punch. I was able to get 30+ feet range repeatedly which is much better than the last gun I tested. The Deploy CS-6 also has pump action which turns this blaster into a shotgun; which is another bonus about this weapon.
The other features on this blaster only add to the coolness factor. The CS-6 has a tactical rail on the carry handle that can work with most of the sights and scopes available for Nerf guns. Also in the carry handle is a sight but this feature is pretty much useless. This blaster has the added feature of a carry strap, which is not standard issue with any other Nerf blaster. One thing that has become a mainstay on most Nerf guns is the barrel connector and that is also featured on the Deploy.
The N-Strike Deploy CS-6 is a great addition to your Nerf collection. This blaster is unique not only in looks but in function. The only flaw that I noticed was the grip. When you open up into gun mode the grip pops down and locks into place but it still has some wiggle. The grip isn’t loose just a bit of wiggle which is to be expected since it is a moving part. That being said, this one flaw does not detract from the gun and should not put you off from purchasing.
Retail is approximately 19.99-24.99 depending on where you pick it up. The N-Strike Deploy takes 3 AAA batteries for the flashlight feature. Grab one when you can because I predict this to be the hot Nerf weapon of the coming warmer months. Lock and load!
