The Toybox Review: Norman PhartEphant

Sad to say but I was brought up in a household where farting was a big joke. My stepfather was a machine when it came to passing gas. Though he found it amusing, the fact that he would shift weight at the dinner table and let one rip made him smile; but no one else smiled. No one was amused except for my younger siblings. They would laugh at every loud burst like it was a joke. He would sometimes say after a long loud one, “Did an elephant just move some furniture?” If he was still alive he would love the line from Fierce Fun Toys, especially Norman PhartEphant. The Toybox: Star Trek Wrath of Khan Phaser

Wrath of Khan PhaserBack in February, I was able to see and play with the prototype of the Star Trek Wrath of Khan Phaser from Diamond. When I first saw this little jewel I knew that it was going to be one of my favorite role play toys. Now that it has finally come out, I have to say, that I was right.

The Toybox: Space: 1999 Eagle Transport

PackagingMany of you were not even born when this toy was produced. There are more than likely a large number of you who have not ever watched an episode of the Gerry Anderson classic, Space 1999, but for those who have, this ship is unforgettable. The toy of which I am referring to is the classic Space: 1999 Eagle One Transport produced by Mattel in 1976. Measuring approximately 32 inches in length, this toy was one little big ship. Over the years he (or she) may have become tattered and worn held together by fraying threads and a mother’s love. Ah, the innocence of childhood personified in a small plush animal. Well my friends here come some bears that do not protect you from the horror, they are the horror.
